Softheon to Sponsor and Present at the 7th Annual Government Health Care Congress Medicaid Summit

STONY BROOK, N.Y. July 13, 2017 – Softheon, Inc., a leader in cloud-based health insurance marketplace integration and remediation, today announced that they will be sponsoring and attending the Government Health Care Congress (GHCC) Medicaid Summit being held on July 18-19 in Tysons, VA.

Bringing together healthcare executives and professionals from across the country, this year’s Medicaid Summit will address challenges at a pertinent time in the industry. Legislation currently moving through Congress shows the volatility of the public program, and there is no better time to look for answers for the future based on experiences of the past. Members of the Softheon team will be present to engage with like-minded thought leaders on these topics and how Softheon’s solutions are working to address these evolving needs.

On July 19th, Softheon Founder, CEO, and Chairman Eugene Sayan will host a discussion at the event. Sayan, will examine the possibility of modeling national Medicaid reform and modernization efforts after the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) 2.0 program. Sayan will also provide an in-depth overview of how the use of cloud-based technology has shaped the healthcare industry’s shift toward consumerization.

“The impact of the GOP health care plan on Medicaid remains a significant piece of the debate,” stated Eugene Sayan“Despite the uncertainties surrounding the future state of the Medicaid market, we believe the Indiana HIP model may have national aspirations, and usher in an era of greater consumer engagement,“ Sayan added.

Softheon’s participation in the Summit comes just weeks after announcing its Medicaid Administration Cloud product launch, which has been utilized by payers participating in multiple Medicaid Expansion State programs, including HIP 2.0, New Hampshire’s Premium Assistance Program, and Arkansas’ Private Option. To date, 6 of the 32 states and the District of Columbia have implemented Medicaid expansion through a Section 1115 State Innovation Waiver. An additional 24 states have been granted Section 1115 Waiver approval, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Ranked as the 18th largest healthcare IT vendor in the country, by Healthcare Informatics, Softheon serves 37% of healthcare payers participating on public exchanges nationwide. Softheon is an ACAP Preferred Vendor for Exchange Integration, individual & group enrollment and premium billing, and Private Exchange and serves both payers with Marketplace and Medicaid lines of business.
