Softheon Named a Sample Vendor in 2017 Gartner Hype Cycle for U.S. Healthcare Payers
STONY BROOK, N.Y. August 15, 2017 – Softheon, Inc., a leader in cloud-based health insurance exchange integration and remediation, today announced its inclusion in the Gartner Hype Cycle for U.S. Healthcare Payers, 2017. Gartner has listed Softheon as a sample vendor for Retail Analytics for Healthcare Payers and Private Exchange Technology. This is the seventh year that Gartner has identified Softheon in the annual report.
Gartner’s annual Hype Cycle tracks and measures the maturity and adoption rates of various technologies relevant to the U.S. healthcare payer industry. “When the U.S. Congress passed the Affordable Care Act, it became clear that U.S. healthcare payers would need to adopt many of the business practices and technologies of direct-to-consumer industries,” according to Bryan Cole, Research Director at Gartner. “While some of these healthcare-specific barriers are becoming more manageable, the broader cross-industry trend toward intelligent, coordinated, digital interactions with customers is accelerating,” Cole added.
