When Softheon learned this was a reality at the Rustam School in Afghanistan’s Yakawlang district, we were committed to finding a solution.
Long Island is perhaps best known for having beautiful beaches with waterfront mansions. It is against this backdrop that its massive homeless population often goes overlooked. As of 2016, there were nearly 4,000 homeless people in Suffolk and Nassau counties. In addition, currently about seven percent of Long Island’s population lives below the federal poverty level.
Softheon’s Diwali Night is celebrated annually during the month of October. Diwali, or Deepavali, a Sanskrit word meaning “rows of lighted lamps,” is a Hindu-originated festival is celebrated nationally by most Indians regardless of their faith. During the five-day celebration known as the “Festival of Lights” clay lamps known as Diya’s are lit to signify the victory of good over evil, according to the Hindu American Foundation. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
Meet Rachel Wang, a data scientist at Softheon.
Born in the province of Shendong in northeastern China, Rachel came to the United States to pursue education and professional development. She already studied mathematics and economics at a college in China but sought further mastery in mathematics. Thinking mathematically comes easily to her and she enjoys how “every problem is a math problem.”
Softheon’s private-label enrollment solution, Enhanced Direct Enrollment-as-a-Service (EDE) offers a unified enrollment experience and an updated, easy-to-use portal for Marketplace members. Now available to any health plan engaged in the ACA Marketplace once it informs CMS that it is partnering with Softheon as an EDE vendor, Softheon EDE uses a series of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services-based (CMS) application program interfaces (APIs) to process eligibility and changes behind the scenes.
