Open Enrollment 2020 Reflection

Open enrollment officially ended on December 18. The original closing date was December 15, but on this last day, the website glitched, preventing consumers from enrolling. This was the second time the site glitched during the enrollment period. During the first day of open enrollment on November 1, consumers also had trouble enrolling prompting members of Congress to write a letter to Administrator Seema Verma of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

WEDI Conference Recap

This past week, hundreds of health care information technology (IT) stakeholders descended on Arlington, Virginia to attend the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange’s (WEDI) 2019 winter conference. WEDI brought together doctors, hospitals, health plans, laboratories, pharmacies, clearinghouses, dentists, vendors, government stakeholders and more.

TAHP Conference Recap

This past week, hundreds of health care stakeholders descended on Austin, Texas to attend Texas Association of Health Plan’s (TAHP) Texas Covered Health Care conference. TAHP brought together major health plans, providers, regulators, journalists and academics to discuss federal health reform, state policies and budget issues, and health plan operations.
